We, Messrs. J. & P. Coats, Limited, Thread Manufacturers, Glasgow, Scotland, hereby certify as follows:
1. That the two hundred and two cases Sewing Cotton ex "Sigmaringen", specified in the attached certificates from Messrs J. Stichelmans Fils, Societe Anonyme, Verviers, and Filatures et Blanchisserie La Novite, Societe Anonyme, Verviers, Belgium, hereinafter referred to as "the Belgian manufacturers", are our property.
2. That they were manufactured to our order and for our account by the Belgian manufacturers, and shipped on aforementioned steamer, by Messrs Looper, Toeckens & Co., Antwerp, the shipping agents of the Belgian manufacturers, to ports in China and the Far East.
3. In proof of which the following documents are submitted:
(a) Invoices as stated in the above-mentioned certificates, of the Belgian manufacturers, which certificates prove also that the goods have been paid for before February 16th, 1916.
4. THAT The Central Agency Limited, Glasgow, our selling agents here, were entrusted by us with the sale of these goods on our behalf, and they hold the Bills of Lading. The aforesaid cases, when released, are to be delivered to them or to their order.
I, the said Matthew Neilson, make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the Statutory Declaration Act 1835.
